Help These Unwanted Dogs Heal from Their Trauma & Find the Happiness They Deserve

Justice for Samson provides life-saving care to the forgotten and misunderstood dogs of Texas left to fend for themselves on the streets or deemed too dangerous to ever be loved. Regardless of the level of need, we know that every dog deserves the chance to heal, no matter what it takes.

* Help Us Build a Safe Haven for BSL Breeds and All Animals in Need*

Hi everyone, We are Justice for Samson Animal Rescue, a dedicated animal welfare rescue with a special focus on breeds affected by Breed-Specific Legislation (BSL). Our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment for all animals, regardless of their breed, while working tirelessly to reduce the stray dog population through education and advocacy. As many of you know, BSL breeds such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Dobermans often face unjust discrimination and limited adoption opportunities. These loving and loyal dogs are frequently misunderstood, leading to overcrowded shelters and, tragically, euthanasia. Our goal is to change this narrative and give every dog a chance at a happy, healthy life.

*Why We Need Your Help* Currently, our facilities are limited, and we are struggling to meet the growing demand for our services. We want to expand and create a state-of-the-art facility that can accommodate more animals and provide them with the care they deserve. Our vision includes:

1. *Spacious Kennels and Play Areas* : To ensure each dog has enough space to exercise and socialize, promoting their physical and mental well-being.

2. *Medical and Rehabilitation Center* : To offer on-site veterinary care, rehabilitation for injured animals, and a quarantine area for sick pets.

3. *Training and Enrichment Programs* : To help rehabilitate dogs with behavioral issues, making them more adoptable and better companions.

4. *Community Education and Outreach* : To educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, and dispelling myths about BSL breeds.

*How You Can Help* We need to raise 300,000.00 to make this dream a reality. Your generous donation will directly impact the lives of countless animals, giving them a second chance at life. Here’s how your contribution can help:

- $25 will provide food and basic supplies for one dog for a week.

- $50 will cover a veterinary check-up and vaccinations.

- $100 will sponsor a training session for a dog with behavioral issues.

- $500 will contribute to building new kennels and play areas. - $1,000 will support the construction of our medical and rehabilitation center. \

*Every Dollar Counts* No donation is too small. Every dollar brings us closer to creating a sanctuary where all animals, especially those affected by BSL, can feel safe and loved. We also appreciate shares on social media, spreading the word about our cause to reach as many animal lovers as possible. Thank you for your support and for believing in our mission. Together, we can build a brighter future for these deserving animals.

With gratitude,

We would like to welcome our new sponsors!!!  And volunteers.

In honor of Moe : Fly high Furever Sweet Boy!

Moe’s story is one of both heartbreak and resilience, a journey that began on the streets of Houston and ended tragically but with love. When Moe came into the rescue, he was a shadow of himself—a malnourished, heartworm-positive Rottweiler, stripped of his fur and spirit, living in fear of humans. Each day, Moe would rush out of his kennel, do his business, and return to the safety of his shelter, avoiding any human touch. He had learned that the world was a dangerous place, and trust was a luxury he couldn’t afford.

But I saw past his fear and brokenness. I approached him gently, letting him sniff my hand, offering treats and kind words. For three months, it was a slow process, filled with small steps. Then one day, Moe allowed me to pet him. Eight months later, he gifted me with his first kiss—a moment so powerful that it brought tears to my eyes. From that day on, Moe’s Rottweiler personality began to shine. He would visit other dogs in their kennels, seek me out, and demand his daily kiss. I had done it—I had given Moe a chance to be the dog he was always meant to be.

When Moe was finally heartworm-free, it was time to find him the perfect home. I found an adopter who seemed ideal—she had the space, the love, and the understanding that Moe needed time to trust. For months, I prepared her, explaining the importance of patience and the need for Moe to be kept on a leash until he could adjust. She seemed ready.

But just one day after arriving at his new home, Moe got loose. He was hungry, scared, and running for his life in a strange place. Despite the efforts of neighbors, trappers, and even drones, Moe remained on the run for three weeks. His adopter hadn’t provided for him or shown him the love and care he so desperately needed. In the end, Moe was hit by a vehicle and died—far from the home yI had hoped he would find, far from the safety and love I had promised him.

The loss of Moe was devastating, a failure not of love but of circumstance. Yet, even in his passing, Moe left a profound mark on everyone who knew him. His ashes were returned to the rescue, where he now rests with his friends. In my heart, I know that he was greeted at the gates by Samson, Zoey, Max, and the others, running free at last.

Moe’s life may have ended in tragedy, but his story remains a reminder of the power of love, patience, and dedication. He left paw prints on my heart and on the hearts of many.
